Yes, if you have a Synst IR808 or IR810 that's the same as the Kaito.  A lot of companies sold that model with different names.  Mine originally came from Canada and was called the SS-IR808EM.

Is there a chance that new firmware will be released for the IR168 series of radios?  The company stopped supporting them over 2 years ago so there haven't been any updates for quite a while although Kaito is still selling them. Kaito must have a supply of old stock on hand to sell.  I emailed them to ask who was going to support the radios with firmware upgrades but they wouldn't answer.
