Topic: Penbex Sabre wrong bootloader

thanks for reply.
I hope that will appear from somewhere a correct bootloader,
I wish you success , and thank you for these posts , are very helpful
I'll be watching these posts, may occur some information for me

Yes, it would be great if we could have another bootloader.
I am looking into the loader to see what is causing the screen to go up side down.
However, without any info and devices to test this is pretty hard.

Note that the bootloader initializes various pieces of hardware and loading the incorrect bootloader can not only result in the screen issue (you are lucky to have just that)
but also set wrong values for fan control and other incorrect register initializations causing overheating and permanent damage.

I can however generate new firmwares and get most devices working again..
I need to know the string that is listed under Settings/Information OS VER...

Hi,
Penbex model: Sabre, with only soft keys
I flashed the device with KW-1004-colilo bootloader and then with KW-1004-2.0.0.23 firmware.
do not ask why  ,,, because I could.
device has switched on, but :
- rotated and shifted display,
- soft keys on the device not working.
Unfortunately I have no remote control

<CUT> Sorry, but I have removed the explanation of how to tweak the "incorrect" files so that the device accepts them
This is resulting in devices that have many issues. There are much easier ways, like posting the OS version and asking for a firmware update..
I will then create the correct files, test and make sure your device does not end up useless <END OF COMMENT>

I now remaining with the problem - rotated and shifted display, otherwise all works , i have working soft key , European standard FM radio,

if anyone has bootloader file from this models Penbex with soft keys , SABRE, COBRA, Olympia Web radi 300, MC609  ...
please help
Thanks
