To open the Arnova KMP511, the black metal grills covering the speakers have to be removed.

Behidn the grille are the screws holding the thing together.

Removing the grill in such a way that you can put it back without leaving visible markings is nearly impossibe.

Once it is open it can be examined. In some cases it can be fixed by making some small changes in the flash memory. In most cases (90%) it can only be fixed if you have the right software.

There are about 6 or more models of the mainboard and no software for most of these mainboards.

For the model that I have software for it still takes me many hours to apply all the fixes.

So it is safe to say it cant be fixed within reasonable time and not without making a lot of mess.

Arnova purchased extremly low cost hardware from a company that does not care if you can use your device long or not!

Hallo!

ich habe das gleiche Problem mit meinem Arnova KMP511. Es bootet nicht, sondern zeigt einmal den Arnova Schriftzug und wird dann schwarz.

Gibt es eine Lösung?

I have the same problem. The device doesn't boot correctly. It hangs on the logo before turning black again.

Is there a chance to repair it?

Hallo zusammen,

bei meinem Gerät erscheint kurz der "Arnova" - Schriftzug, verschwindet, erscheint erneut - dass war es dann aber auch - mehr passiert nicht!? Ist da noch was zu retten; wenn ja - wie?

Danke schon mal für für jegliche Unterstützung!

Hello,

My Arnova Web Radio is stopping as well dircetly with the ARNOVA Screen.

Is there a chance to get the device to boot Correctly again.

When the device hangs on the logo it usually means that the device is bricked.
In some cases a recovery can be done, unfortunately this is not the case with the Arnova.
Here the only solution is to open the device.

Hallo,

mein Radio startet nicht richtig. Nach dem einschalten erscheint ganz normal das Arnova-Logo, nach ca. 2-3 Sekunden ist es kurz weg und dann wieder da.

Mehr passiert nicht. Woran kann das liegen? Ich weiß so auch nicht welche FW auf dem Gerät ist.

Kann da jemand helfen??
