So another DMTech IR-5000 (Kingsun) user here!
Do you think there ever will be a modified FW working
with Kingsun? 
And if there is a chance, when?

Do NOT load a new bootloader if you do not have the model the bootloader is designed for.
This was said many times before!
(It is a bit like people telling you not to do a "format c:" on your PC and you still try it out.)

Anyway, now that you have this issue we need to figure out what to do.
Obviously the only way to fix your device now is with a new bootloader that allows you to load the Kingsun firmware again.
Since this bootloader does not exist and since Penbex is not going to make it for you (as they are bankrupt for almost 5 years now)
your device would now be a doorstop.

However, I might have a way to fix it.
What does your device still do.. can you still load firmware or is the device not responding to anything?

No help for Kingsun from this forum. DO NOT TRY ANY UPDATES FROM HERE! Stay well away!
Tried the USB update with a couple of the newest firmwares and they would not update. Next I tried the bootloader and it was incompatible too and made the device usseless. Have to figure out if it could be repaired with the original firmware.
