Topic: Watson 1790 / DNT IPMicro

They were selling models with and without CD player.
The KW1005 and alike (kenwin, centrios, cobra watson etc) are the larger ones with CD player.
Usually a base with 2 bookshelf speakers.

Then there were the smaller models without the CD player like the Konig etc. which has a speaker integrated.

Hardware wise they were all pretty much the same, of course lacking the cd controller chips on the smaller models and smaller amplifier parts..

Just one more question, please...
Which one is the smallest Penbex radio of all?
Is there a model without any speakers just to connect to my stereo amplifier?
Please let me know.

It is my best looking Penbex radio ever!!!
I love it.
Today I also bought a König HAV-IR20.

It should be one of these 2.. depending on what you find in the information screen of the device.
There it should tell you what version is currently installed, something like "KW-1004-1.0.3.62 build 09/12/08-1744"
I know some have the regular KW-1004 firmware others use the ipmicro version.



Kw-1004-2.0.0.23

There are firmwares in the download section.
However, the device should work out of the box because I purchased the old Penbex domain name...
All links within the device point to our server

I bought an old WATSON CO1790MUI yesterday.
But I can't find a working link to download the newest Listen Live Firmware for this radio.
Can anybody help me please?

Note that our firmware only fixes the worldstation part.
If you can read the forum and your radio is connected to the same network as the device you are reading this forum on then the device should be able to reach the station database as it is the same server.

It does not fix shoutcast, gacenote etc.
To get that working we would need very time consuming modifications.

DANKE für die schnelle Antwort. Ich habe versucht hier eine Lösung zu finden bevor ich hier einen Beitrag geschrieben habe aber leider keine Lösung welche geholfen hätte gefunden.

If you downloaded the firmware from here it should work.
Did you do a factory reset after installing the firmware?

eingespielt - aber leider findet sie noch immer keine Radiosender. Bleibt bei der Suche nach den Genres "hängen"

Yes, somehow the IPMicro has issues when we upgrade with the IPMicro firmware. -> error 3..
The IPMicro is however compatible with the KW-1004 and changing the bootloader and then loading the KW-1004 firmware works fine.

The funny thing is, the KW-1004 firmware is actually the IPMicro version.. I just modified it to load on the KW-1004.
So one of the possibilities is that the bootloader is causing the error 3.
Today I received an Odys machine with the error-3. So it should help a lot with fixing the issue.

just my 2 cents in case it can help some fellow dnt IPMICRO owners.
Upgrade with KW-1004-IPMICRO-2.0.0.23 did not work at all.
So I upgraded with the colilo boot loader and then KW-1004-2.0.0.23.
Worked well.

Yes, I am waiting for a device to arrive so I can do some tests..
You can be sure that I am working on a solution!

Hi. I´m from Germany and i have the same problem.
Wenn i choose Weltsender->Europe, then comes (3) Formatfehler.
I have done with the old 1.**.68 and with the new 2.0.0.23 Firmware for the DNT IPMicro.
Please help me!

I also use a DNT IPMICRO and I have the same Problems as JohnDough described.

The following is listed after OS-Ver:

KW-1004-IPMICRO-2.0.0.23 beta build

I hope there is a solution for this problem.

Hi Everyone,

tried to update. System reboots, no change in "Station Update Page" - still penbex.
Made a RESET. No Change.
Looks like Machine doesn't accept Firmware File or does not process it...
Neither Shoutcast nor World Stations available....
And of course.... old Favorites gone.....
Need HELP!!!!
