Topic: Update HMT370 funktioniert nicht

Quote:

The icon with the L is not really important. It only shows if the listenlive server (that serves the station lists and also runs this website) has been reached.
If it did, it will be able to pull updated station lists. If it failed it will not pull the updates but keep on using the lists that are already on the device.
As stations are not changing that rappidly, it will not be a problem if you did not pull updates for some time..

- I understand, but my german station list was just 1177 entries and didn't change

The other icon is more important, is this shows if there was a wifi or wired lan connection.
On the HMT370 both wifi and wired should work but of course you need to select the right connection type and its related settings (like using a static or dynamic IP address)
Wired works faster and more stable than wifi but most people dont have wires to every corner of the house

I can see the disconncted icon the wiFi Icon, and the connected with  DHCP correctly Icon (never saw the green one) in turns

When using Wifi, WPA/WPA2 with a dynamic IP address (usually means IP address provided by your router) works best.
If it constantly re-connects it might be possible that it switches back and forth between two wifi networks. Possibly because the strength of the two networks is more or less the same and fluctuating a bit.
In this case do a factory reset and answer yes to the question if it should reset all network settings.

- I did that and connected only to one WLAN

It is also possible that the wifi channel your router/wifi access point is set for, is changing too fast for the device to keep up with.
This happened before.
Some routers are checking if another nearby signal is using the same wifi channel, if it does, the router will select a new channel.
That sounds of course great.. but imagine there are two or even more routers that are doing the same thing. They will keep on forcing eachother to change the wifi channel.
Most modern laptops are fast enough to keep up with such changes, your HMT might not.. it was reported before that disabling "dynamic wifi channel selection" solved some issues.

- I already fixed the channel of my WLan router, this is not the reason. I thonk it really s a WiFi Hardware reason and give in

I'm not sure that it is a WiFi Issue. Butt the status icon(s) in the upper right corner show a connection, after short time there is no connection, then there is a Connection again after some seconds. And so on. The Internet Radio is playing ok for some seconds then it pauses then plays again for some seconds and then it stops on a screnn so that I have to press a key.
I can see news stations, but if I select one, there are no news to see.
Can I see somewherehow strong (good) the WiFi signal is ?
I can play Internet Radio on my Laptop right beside the HMT 370.

Wifi should work without any issues.
Note that there is no difference between the Original firmware and the listenlive firmware in terms of wlan drivers.
Are you sure that it is a wifi issue? how about other functions, like the news page..(to test wifi)

Hi,

LG

Ok,
now I do have the 1.52 firmware on my HMT370. But I cant see all German Radio Stations (the List says it has got 1177 entries but there are 2277 in the list here). And my favorite Station (SWR3) is not in the List as it stops at L.
Also the WLAN is very unstable although I had a good connect with the orginal firmware before.
I can't see my favorites (my account is not in the list of the LL accounts). Do I have to activate something? (I've set up a PIN)
I tried connecting with a cable but no success with the lists (radio stations, accounts). And I could hear a Radio Station.
Also I've got favorites (from whomever) but not mine.
Any help appreciated.

Norbert

Hi,
that really did the Job.
I 'borrowed' a SD Card from my daughters camera (didn't even have to erase or format it) and the update worked.
Thank you for your help.

Kind regards
Norbert

Hi,

Make sure you use a regular SD card.. max. 2 Gb of size. (Check old phones/camera's etc. for an older card)
It should NOT be an SDHC, SD micro in adapter etc.

Hallo,

Norbert
