Topic: favorite editor

File transfer is possible, but I think it is better to wait for William's FW.
I was lazy to install build tools for Ingenic processor and only tried scp (dropbear binaries are in filesystem Ingenic is providing).

That´s ok.

Do you have anything for making a file transfer from pc to device via WLAN as well?
And, of course, for deleting files on the XORO without using USB?

Web based favorite edit is intended for those who want to change favorites more often, who want to do experiments with different URLs without connecting always device to PC via USB. For example I have my radio in sleeping room next to bed and I don't want to move it around...

Also I have noticed, that radio URL stored in user list (file browse_list) is buffered much longer than radio URL stored as type 0 (radio) in fav.xml file. Perhaps different parameters are passed to mplayer for each type of media (radio/tv/podcast...).

Adding / changing favorites via web interface is feature which I have seen on one older internet radio (Soundbridge) and I hope William will provide it in some form in his upcoming firmware (big thanks for his work).

I have also added very simple FM radio settings editor, because current possibilities for adding / removing presets are let's say very limited.

I just wanted to play a little bit with my radio until William's firmware is out

Waht is the purpose of this editor?

Is there anything more simple than the current txt-file which allows to have your own favourites on the XORO?

Hi William and all.
I have created javascript/shell script based editor for favorites and FM presets. Tested on my Xoro (KMP510.2 / RM002 / 1.89p) with FF 3.6 and IE 6 browsers.
I will try to upload files to upload area.

How to use it:
- unpack zipfile (www direcotry with some files will be extracted)
- copy www directory to your device using USB
- telnet to your device and start http server by typing: /mnt/mtdblock9/www/httpd_starter.sh
- point your browser to your device
- edit favorites or FM presets
- files fav.xml (favorites) or fmset.ini (FM presets) are modified, backups are created in www directory

Notes:
- FM presets editor is very simple
- editors work well on my Xoro, be careful when trying on other devices
- I did not tried to make new FW (would be necessary for automatic httpd start at boot)
- http responses from device are slow (because filesystem operations on /mnt/mtdblock9 are slow)

Have fun.
